The Waddell Mariculture Center  released 388 cobia at the Trask Boat Landing in may 2006.   All of the fish were tagged with a dart spaghetti tag to help track their journeys. The released fish ranged in size from 20-24 inches in length.  That means, with decent food this winter, they may be of legal size when they return to Port Royal Sound and the Broad River next spring.

  The mobile tanks which appear in the photo were a gift to the Wadell Maricuture Center from the 2005 The Heritage Classic Foundation of the Verizon Heritage Golf Tournament and their resident fishing pro, Captain FuzzyDavis
